Mixed content
Definition
Mixed content occurs when an HTTPS page loads sub-resources (images, scripts, stylesheets) over insecure HTTP.
Plain English
Your page is secure, but some of its files aren't. Browsers may block them or show warnings.
Why it matters
- Browsers block or warn about insecure sub-resources.
- It undermines the security benefits of HTTPS.
- Can cause broken images, scripts, or styles on otherwise secure pages.
